The Importance Of Friendship

Proverbs 18:24

A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that is closer than a brother.

Who you consider a good friend? Someone who listen to you, supports , trusts, and is honest with you ? A truth friend is a blessing, having and keeping them is necessary for many reasons. As we grow in life and years passes, real friendship is going to be essential in our lives… We live in a world of relationships, and understanding the importance of it will help us in many ways. For instance communication is improve it, character is develop; since you learn no to be self centered but also to consider good actions for others. You become more aware and caring, you also learn the gift of sharing.

We all have something to share. You share ideas, opinions, secrets, experiences, knowledge etc.

When we look at the bible we also found God calling Abraham “my friend”, and the reason why God called him his friend, was because God shared with him many things. God trusted in Abraham, listened to him and communicated to him his will and intention. The bible also narrates that Abraham listened to God, communicated with him and trusted in him. Meaning that both of them value being together and staying together. It wasn’t just one way communication it was two ways of communicating, sharing, trusting, listening and staying together.

God himself is a true friend, we are all called to be friends of him and to find friends who along our journey will walk and stay with us. If we study God as a friend we can identify from him different characteristics of how to be a good friend. He is the best real example that we can look at. Learning from him will help you to be a better person and also a good and reliable friend. We encourage to read the complete history of God and Abraham and how they developed a great friendship relationship.

From God we learn that friendship is develop and establish with the pass of time. It requires good communication, respect, responsibility, support, trust, loyalty, honor, patience. Those and many more positive characteristics from God allow us to see friendship in and beautiful way. We value people when we value who we are and that is what makes a good relationship long lasting and great.
